In 2006 we completed three multimedia public discussions of English in Wisconsin sponsored by the Wisconsin Humanities Council.  In our Madison, Eau Claire and Milwaukee gatherings, participants helped us explore how Wisconsinites talk, how our regional English came to be so distinctive, and how it is changing dramatically today.  If you missed the publicity these talks received, you can see some of the attention we've been getting below. The press release for these discussions can be read here. If you have comments or would like to suggest locations for future meetings, please contact us. You can also keep up on the Wisconsin Englishes Project through our podcasts.
