About Us

"Language Matters for Wisconsin" was a project of the Max Kade Institute and the Center for the Study of Upper Midwestern Cultures at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, supported by a three-year "Baldwin – Wisconsin Idea" grant. It was led by UW-Madison linguists Thomas Purnell, Eric Raimy, and Joseph Salmons.
