The Institute provides certain essential
services to individuals working in the field of Germanic genealogy BY APPOINTMENT
ONLY.
- Assistance in using gazetteers allowing
genealogists to determine the present-day location of an immigrant's town
or city of origin, for which relevant archive information can then be obtained.
- Assistance in using detailed maps
from German-speaking areas, including much of Pomerania.
- Local referral
list for genealogical research,
translation and transcription.
