6 April 1905, Letter from Johann Jacob Frautschi to Christian Frautschi
About the Original Manuscript:
This letter was written by John J. Frautschi in St. Paul, Minnesota, and sent to his brother Christian in Madison, Wisconsin. Only digital formats of the original letter and envelope, as well as the transcriptions and translations, are in the collection of the Max Kade Institute at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Johann writes to say he has received the ship tickets and the receipts for the train tickets, and realized he owes Christian some money, which he encloses. He has filled out the passport paperwork and sent it to Washington, but has asked that the passports be sent to Madison as time is short. He says he will be taking money on the trip in the form of money orders. He hopes to leave St. Paul on the morning of 24 April.
